The Lady Scots Gymnastics Team was crowned 2023 District Championships on Thursday. Led by a talented group of junior gymnasts, the Lady Scots scored their highest optional team score on Day 2 of Districts to solidify the win.

Junior Captain Ana Simpson was crowned District Floor Champion. Ana placed 3rd on Vault, 4th on Bars, 3rd on Beam, and 2nd All-Around. She scored season highs on Floor and All-Around. Her highest score in Optionals was 9.55 on Floor.

Junior Margaret Maambo was crowned District Bars Champion. Margaret placed 2nd on Vault, 6th on Beam, 3rd on Floor, and 3rd All-Around. She scored season highs on Vault, Beam, and All-Around. Her highest score in optionals was 9.5 on Vault and Floor.

Junior Erin Bollinger was crowned District Beam Champion. Erin placed 4th on Vault, 2nd on Bars, 6th on Floor, and 4th All-Around. She scored season highs on Bars, Beam, Floor, and All-Around. Her highest score of optionals was 9.2 on Beam.

Sophomore Caroline Fullwood placed 6th on Vault, 8th on Bars, 8th on Beam, 5th on Floor, and 6th All-Around. She scored season highs on Vault, Beam, and Floor. Her highest score of optionals was 9.2 on Floor.

Junior Captain Lily Ford competed in the all-around in opitonals scoring her highest score of the meet (9.45) on Floor.

Freshman Harper O’Neal competed on three events in optionals scoring her highest score of the meet (9.4) on Floor.

The Lady Scots will compete at Regional Championships on April 13-14 at Highland Park High School.
