Lady Scots seeking podium finish

Day 1 – State Compulsory Results:

After Day 1 of State Championships, the Lady Scots are just one point out of a podium finish. The team will begin Day 2 of competition on Floor Exercise with the goal of finishing in the top 6 as a team and top 8 on the events to have the opportunity to compete in finals on Saturday.

Sophomore Ana Simpson was the top HP All-Around finisher in the Compulsory competition, placing 20th. Ana scored 9.4 or higher on all 4 events. Her highest score of the day was 9.575 on Vault.

Senior Captain Kennedy Downing finished 21st in the All-Around. Kennedy scored 9.2 or higher in every event. Her highest score of the day was 9.6 on Floor.

Senior Captain Linda Tran finished 24th in the All-Around. Linda scored season highs on Beam, Floor and All-Around. She scored 9.3 or higher on all events. Her highest score of the day was 9.5 on Bars.

Sophomore Lily Ford finished 27th in the All-Around. Lily scored 9.0 or higher on all events. Her highest score of the day was 9.65 on Floor.

Junior Olivia Adams competed in the All-Around. Her highest score of the day was 8.85 on Floor.

Freshman Caroline Fullwood scored a season high score on Floor. She received her highest score of the day on Vault (9.05).

Sophomore Riley Neumann competed on Bars and Freshman Era Johnston competed on Beam.
