Congratulations to the Lady Scots Track & Field athletes who competed at the 94th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Friday, March 25th and Saturday, March 26th in Austin. The team qualified to compete at the Relays in three events.
The Sprint Medley Relay placed 4th out of nine teams with a time of 4:10.93 – a new personal record. The team members were Caroline Jirovec, Katelyn Tanner, Parker Herzog, and Kayla Dickerson.
The Distance Medley Relay placed 11th out of 21 teams with a time of 12:32.34 – a new personal record. The team members were Charlotte Hudson (1200), Parker Herzog (400), Kayla Dickerson (800), and Ellie Preston (1600).
The final relay for the Lady Scots on Saturday was the 4 x 800 M Relay. The team placed 5th out of 15 teams with a time of 9:35.95 – a new personal record. The team members were Kayla Dickerson, Ellie Preston, Charlotte Hudson, and Caroline Scott.
The Texas Relays is an amazing event with high school teams, college teams, and professional athletes. Two years ago the meet was cancelled due to Covid, and last year, high school teams were not allowed to compete because of Covid. It was great to be back!
