The Lady Scots Cross Country Team competed at the Coppell Invite I on Saturday, September 26th at Coppell Middle School West. The team won the Varsity Division with 27 points. Marcus placed 2nd with 62 points. There were seven teams and 63 runners in this division.

Senior captain Cameron Fawcett placed 2nd with a time of 18:16.28, sophomore Sara Cavey placed 5th with a time of 19:13.70, and junior Alli Grace Ott placed 6th with a time of 19:18.48. Sophomores Charlotte Hudson placed 7th (19.36.71) and Grace Hathaway placed 12th (20:18.06). The other team members were freshmen Ashley Goldman (21:44.30) and Rylie Galanos (21:52.53). Fawcett, Ott, Hudson, and Hathaway all set new meet course personal records.

The next meet for the Lady Scots will be the Mesquite ISD JV Meet 2 at Camp Rorie Galloway in Mesquite on Friday, October 2nd. The race begins at 8:00 a.m. The Lady Scots will also compete in the Flower Mound Invitational at Shadow Ridge Middle School in Flower Mound on Saturday, October 3rd. The Varsity race begins at 7:30 a.m., and the JV race begins at 9:00 a.m.
