The Scots Varsity tennis team kicked off their fall team season hosting the HP/Plano West Invitational. Friday morning the Scots beat Belton High School 10-0. In the afternoon match the team handled Longview High School 10-1.
Saturday’s morning semi-final match presented more of a challenge facing perennial powerhouse Allen High School. The Scots captains Rhett Bailey, Nell Covington, Peyton Dooley and Annika Juergens led the team to the 10-6 win. The Scots then handled Coppell 10-1 in the finals to win the tournament.
Congrats to the team starting their season with some great wins. Next up, Newman Smith Tuesday at home at the Seay Center at 4pm.
