On Saturday, February 1st, the Lady Scots Track & Field Team served the community by volunteering at Mercy Street for two hours. It was a great way to start the day! The captains decide each season the team's community service project.
The team did various jobs around the soccer and lacrosse fields - painted lines in the parking lot, cleaned the shed, cleaned large bins that hold equipment on the fields, repaired soccer nets, aired up soccer balls, and picked up trash.
According to Mercy Street’s website, "Mercy Street exists to cultivate mutually transforming relationships with inner-city youth through Christian mentorship.”
It Was A Great Day To Be A Lady Scot!
