Congratulations to the Running Scots as they advanced to the UIL State XC Championships on Tuesday at Lynn Creek Park in Grand Prairie.

The team of Jacob Baumgartner, Bennett Blevins, Spencer Haag, Luke Johnson, Antonio Sanchez, Akash Shah, and Beau Stewart earned a bronze medal finishing 3rd overall in the team standings with a score of 141 points. The team was led by a top ten individual performance from Junior Spencer Haag who finished 8th overall with a time of 16:09.52. The Running Scots had a 1-5 split of 68 seconds and a total team time of 16:50 which put them in front of state ranked competitors Frisco Reedy and McKinney North in the final standings.

Runners of the week are Jacob Baumgartner, Bennett Blevins, Spencer Haag, Luke Johnson, Antonio Sanchez, Akash Shah, and Beau Stewart.

The team will compete on Saturday, November 2nd in the UIL 5A State XC Championship at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock. Race time is 11:25 am. Go Scots!!
