Congratulations to the Running Scots as they won their 7th consecutive District Championship on Thursday morning at Myers Park in McKinney. The varsity team of Jacob Baumgartner, Bennett Blevins, Spencer Haag, Luke Johnson, Antonio Sanchez, Akash Shah and Beau Stewart finished 1st in the team standings over district rivals and state ranked Frisco Wakeland and Frisco Reedy with a team time of 16:43. The team was led by Junior Spencer Haag who won the individual championship and gold medal with a time of 15:58.30. Haag was joined in the top ten by Senior Bennett Blevins and Freshman Beau Stewart earning 1st team All-District honors. Jacob Baumgartner (15th), Luke Johnson (16th), Antonio Sanchez (17th), and Akash Shah (20th) all earned 2nd team All-District honors.
The Junior Varsity finished 2nd in the team standings in a very close race against Frisco Wakeland and Frisco Reedy. The team finished with 41 points, just 3 points short of Frisco Wakeland. The team was led by Freshman Cole Davis who won a Bronze medal in the individual standings with a time of 18:17.30. Senior Captains Spencer Luu (5th) and Archer Stahl (10th) also finished in the top ten.

The Running Scots have qualified to compete in the Region II-5A Championship meet at Lynn Creek Park in Grand Prairie on Tuesday, October 22nd. Race time is 9:30 am. Go Scots!!
