The Lady Scots Cross Country Team competed in their last regular season meet on Saturday, September 28th at the Jesuit XC Classic in Oak Point at the Prestonwood Polo Club. In the 5A/6A Varsity Girls Division, the team placed 4th, and there were 241 runners. Sophomore Ryan Sontag led the team by placing 15th with a time of 19:14. Freshman Paisley Bassett and junior Maddie Heckler were close behind as they placed 19th and 20th respectively. The other team members were senior Ellie Preston, senior captain Samantha Meck, junior Presley Pate, senior Varsha Ravi, and junior Julia Berlin.

In the JV Division, the team placed 1st with 74 points. There were 400 runners in this division. The Lady Scots had three team members in the top ten – freshman Lily Johnson placed 3rd, junior Campbell Dean placed 6th, and junior Hayden Gray placed 9th. The other top four team members were senior Tessa Nurre, freshman Anna Odom, and juniors Gracie Golden and Ava Thropp.

The next meet for the Lady Scots will be the District 12-5A Championships on Thursday, October 10th at Myers Park in McKinney. The first race starts at 8:00 a.m.
