The Lady Scots Cross Country Team had a great race day at the 39th Greenhill Six Mile Relay on Saturday, August 24th at Norbuck Park.

In the 6A/5A Varsity Girls Division, there were 24 teams, and the Lady Scots placed 1st and 10th. The relay members for the 1st place team were sophomore Ryan Sontag, junior Maddie Heckler, and freshmen Finley Heckler and Paisley Bassett. The relay time was 36:40.92 – the 10th fastest relay time in the history of the Lady Scots. The 10th place relay members were senior captain Samantha Meck, junior Campbell Dean, sophomore Annie Cooper, and junior Julia Berlin. The relay time was 40:54.76.

In the Junior Varsity “A” Girls Division, there were 32 teams. HP had two teams compete in this division. The teams placed 2nd and 5th. The 2nd place relay members were junior Hayden Gray, senior Tessa Nurre, and sophomores Campbell Ragan and Avi Levy. The 5th place team consisted of senior MK Diehl, freshman Charlotte Hodges, sophomore Jenna McCombs, and junior Gracie Golden.

In the Junior Varsity “B” Girls Division, there were 38 teams. HP had eight teams compete in this division. The top HP team placed 2nd. The relay members were junior Annika Johnson, freshman Anna Odom, and sophomores Lucy Burns and Emery Paulsen.

The next meet for the Lady Scots will be the Marcus Coach T Invitational at North Lakes Park in Denton on Saturday, August 31st. The first race begins at 6:45 a.m.
