The Running Scots competed well at the Flower Mound 2 Mile Invitational on Saturday at Shadow Ridge Middle School on Saturday.
The Varsity team of Jacob Baumgartner, Cole Davis, Spencer Haag, Preston Mallat, Akash Shah, Antonio Sanchez, and Beau Stewart finished 2nd overall in the team standings. The team was led by an outstanding performance from junior Spencer Haag finished a close second overall in the in the individual standings with his best 2 mile time in the fall of 10:12.27. Haag along with Beau Stewart (9), Akash Shah (11), and Jacob Baumgartner (11) all finished in the top 15.
The Junior Varsity also finished 2nd in the team standings with a top 10 performance from sophomore Charlie Hamilton who finished with a time of 11:56.96. Hamilton was one of four HP runners who earned medals finishing in the top 20 - Collin Krantz (9), Anthony Glennon (11), and Samarjeet Singh (9).

The Running Scots will compete next Saturday at the Marcus Coach T XC Invitational at North Lakes Park in Denton. Race time is 6:45 AM.
