The Highland Park Scots girls water polo team kicked off their season with an impressive performance at the Cy-Fair Invitational, earning a 9th place finish. The team went 3-1 over the weekend, bringing their season record to 5-2.
The Scots notched victories over Houston Westside, Houston Memorial, and The Woodlands during the tournament. Senior standout Kylie Williams led the charge, showcasing why she’s a two-time high school All-American. Williams, who has verbally committed to play college water polo at the University of Indiana, played a pivotal role in the Scots' strong showing.
Seniors Caroline Karpenko, Ava Ramo, and Lucy Zeng were also key contributors, helping the Scots secure a solid start to the season.
Next up, the Scots will compete in the Texas Cup, hosted by Lewisville ISD, on August 22-24.
The team looks to build on their momentum and continue their strong start to the season.
