On Saturday, January 13th, the Lady Scots Track & Field Team served the community by volunteering at The Food Ministry at Lovers Lane UMC for two hours. This is the first time the track and field team has volunteered for this ministry. The captains decide each season the team's community service project.

The team packed bags with rice, beans, onions, potatoes, sweet potatoes, bananas, apples, and grapefruit. As cars drove through the line, the athletes delivered the food to each family.

According to The Food Ministry's website, "since May of 2020 our Food Ministry has served fresh produce and staple goods to people in need in our community - 2,331,078 lbs of food to 699,585 people".

It Was A Great Day To Be A Lady Scot!
