Congratulations to the Running Scots as they brought home the District 7-6A championship in both the Varsity and JV divisions.

The varsity team of Jacob Baumgartner, Bennett Blevins, Jackson Dean, Luke Hall, William Jaudes, Mark Nance, and Frankie Stewart earned their 6th consecutive district title(27th overall) and qualified for the Regional meet for the 25th year in a row. The team posted an outstanding overall team time of 16:41.1. Earning 1st team All-District honors were William Jaudes, Bennett Blevins, and Mark Nance. 2nd team All-District honors went to Jackson Dean, Luke Hall, and Jacob Baumgartner.

The Junior Varsity also finished with its 6th consecutive district title and were led by Max Villasana who earned an individual JV district championship finishing first overall with a personal best time of 17:32.3. Also finishing in the top 15 and earning medals were Chris Crespo, Akash Shah, and Jarrett Turner. Ten JV runners finished with personal best times on Thursday.

Runners of the week are William Jaudes for the Varsity, and Max Villasana for the Junior Varsity.

The team now advances to the Region I-6A Championship meet on October 24th at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock. Race time is 9:30 AM.
