The Lady Scots Cross Country Team competed in their last regular season meet on Saturday, September 30th at the Jesuit XC Classic in Oak Point at the Prestonwood Polo Club. In the 5A/6A Varsity Girls Division, the team placed 2nd. Sophomore Maddie Heckler led the team with a time of 19:15.0 and placed 11th out of 182 runners, and senior Kayla Dickerson placed 17th with a time of 19:26.7. The other team members were Claire Deeken, Samantha Meck, Katie Taulbee, Caroline Scott, Ryan Sontag, Gracie Spillman, and Varsha Ravi.

In the JV Division, the team placed 1st with 36 points. There were 274 runners in this division. The Lady Scots had three team members in the top ten – Hayden Gray placed 2nd, Presley Pate placed 4th, and Tessa Nurre placed 6th. The other top four team members were senior captain Rylie Galanos, Campbell Dean, Julia Berlin, and Campbell Ragan.

The next meet for the Lady Scots will be the District 7-6A Championship on Thursday, October 12th at Myers Park in McKinney. The first race starts at 8:30 a.m.
