The Highland Park Boys Golf team competed in the Bart Granger Memorial golf tournament at Pecan Valley GC in Fort Worth on Sept. 15-16. The Bart Granger is the largest high school golf tournament in the country and typically features not only the best teams in Texas, but also some teams from Oklahoma and/or Arizona. This year the Scots finished 5th out of 50 teams. Junior Brooks Simmons led the team with rounds of 71-67, finishing -3 overall and placing 15th individually. Senior Jackson Muncy shot rounds of 67-72, junior Charles Nelson 73-68, junior Blake Goodnight 68-75 and freshman Andy Lieu 72-72.
