The Running Scots competed well in the Lubbock ISD XC Invitational on Saturday at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock. The varsity team of Jacob Baumgartner, Bennett Blevins, Jackson Dean, Luke Hall, William Jaudes, Luke Smith, and Frankie Stewart finished 3rd in the 6A Division. The team was led by an outstanding performance from William Jaudes who finished 5th overall in the individual standings.

The Junior Varsity unofficially finished 2nd overall in the team standings. The team was led by Max Villasana who finished 9th overall in the individual standings with a time of 18:55.01.

The varsity runner of the week was Senior William Jaudes. The JV runner of the week was Senior Max Villasana.

The Running Scots compete next Saturday at the Jesuit XC Classic at Prestonwood Polo Club in Oak Point. The District 7-6A Championship Meet follows and will take place on October 12th at Myers Park in McKinney.
