GYMNASTS 2ND AT REGIONALS, GOING TO STATE

Gymnasts 2nd at Regionals, Going to State

HP Boys Gymnastics Team finished 2nd at the Regionals, qualifying the team to the State Championships.

Leading the way was Austin Chapman who won 4 events including Floor, Rings, Vault and the All Around.

William Benz elevated the team with his 2nd place Vault, now his best event and 6th All Around.

Clayton Staunton who has not competed in 3 months due to injury, competed on Pommel Horse and placed 2nd.

Tyler Abbara surprised everyone with his personal best of 9.7 compulsory and 9.0 optional scores to put him in 5th place.

John Sartain who was sidelined on floor and vault, placed 4th on Parallel Bars and 8th on Rings.

Tommy Simpson was 6th on Floor and 12th on Pommel Horse.

Ryder Greene was top ten on Floor and Vault, performing his new layout tsuk.

Sam Hamiton’s 9.6 on Rings in Compulsory day added to our finish while Jake Ford, JT Mills, Garret Moore and Krew Tanner also boosted the team to their 2nd place.
