LADY SCOTS COMPETE AT DAY 1 OF REGIONALS

Lady Scots compete at Day 1 of Regionals

The Highland Park Girls Gymnastics team competed at the first day of Region 1 Championships scoring their highest Compulsory team score of the season (114.7), led by 4 strong junior gymnasts.

Junior Captain Lily Ford finished 7th on Vault, 7th on Bars, 5th on Beam, 4th on Floor, and 4th All-Around. Lily scored a season high on Bars and All-Around, and scored 9.5 or higher on all other events. Her highest score of the day was 9.8 on Floor.

Junior Captain Ana Simpson finished 7th on Vault, 15th on Bars, 7th on Beam, 6th on Floor, and 6th All-Around. Ana scored a season high on Floor and scored 9.35 or higher on all events. Her highest score of the day was 9.75 on Floor.

Junior Erin Bollinger finished 14th on Vault, 15th on Bars, 10th on Beam, 12 on Floor, and 10th All-Around. Erin scored a season high on Floor and scored 9.3 or higher on all events. Her highest score of the day was 9.65 on Floor.

Junior Margaret Maambo finished 17th on Vault, 9th on Bars, 10th on Beam, 17th on Floor, and 10th All-Around. Margaret scored season highs on Bars and All-Around, and scored 9.25 or higher on all events. Her highest score of the meet was 9.6 on Bars.

Sophomore Caroline Fullwood finished 18th on Vault, 25th on Bars, 24th on Beam, 23rd on Floor, and 16th All-Around. Her highest score of the meet was 9.2 on Vault.
Freshman Harper O’Neal finished 22nd on Vault, 20th on Bars, 16th on Beam, 24th on Floor, and 14th All-Around. Harper scored season highs on Beam and All-Around. Her highest score of the meet was 8.85 on Floor.

The Lady Scots continue with regional competition on Friday, April 14 at 9:00 a.m. The competition will be broadcast on HPHS.TV.
