Congratulations to senior Charlotte Hudson and freshman Maddie Heckler as they competed very well at the UIL Class 6A Cross Country Championships on Friday, November 4th. Charlotte placed 30th with a time of 19:06.9, and Maddie placed 39th with a time of 19:21.0. There were 150 runners in 6A.

Charlotte competed all four years for the Lady Scots at the State Meet, and this was her best finish. Way to go!

The coaches are so proud of both young ladies! They had a great season and represented HP with pride! They continued the Lady Scots Cross Country tradition of having an athlete or team compete at the UIL State Meet since 1975 – the first year girls were able to compete in cross country in the UIL.
