The Lady Scots maintained composure in the fourth quarter to come out victorious against Southlake Carroll in their season opener with a score of 55-45. There were eight lead changes throughout the game but the Lady Scots took and maintained the lead late in the third quarter from back-to-back threes and big defensive stops. Senior guard, Vivian Jin, led all scorers with 20 points, connecting on four of her six three-point attempts and six of six attempts from the free-throw line. Junior guard Audrey Walker contributed 18 points and senior Paris Lauro added 13 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. The Lady Scots return to action against Rockwall Heath in their home opener on Tuesday night. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m.
