The Lady Scots Cross Country Team competed in the District 7-6A Championship Meet on Thursday, October 13th at Myers Park in McKinney. In the Varsity Division, the team won the District Championship for the 44th time out of 48 years. The team scored 23 points. Senior Charlotte Hudson led the team by winning the silver medal with a time of 18:36.0. Junior Kayla Dickerson won the bronze medal with a time of 18:45.5. The other team members were Maddie Heckler, Ellie Preston, Ashley Goldman, Gracie Spillman, and Samantha Meck.

In the JV Division, the team also won the District Championship with 15 points. The JV has never been beaten when they have had a team competing in the District Meet. Caroline Scott won the gold medal with a time of 20:43.2, Varsha Ravi won the silver medal with a time of 21:11.2, and Hayden Gray won the bronze medal with a time of 21:27.2. Rounding out the top seven were Julia Berlin, Julia Yates, Campbell Dean, and Presley Pate.

The next meet for the Lady Scots will be the Region I-6A Meet at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock on Monday, October 24th. The race begins at 10:30 a.m.
