The Running Scots won the District 7-6A Men's XC Championship on Thursday morning at Myers Park in McKinney. It was the program's 5th consecutive district title. The varsity team of Jackson Dean, Luke Finch, Drew Gregory, Spencer Haag, Hunter Hegi, William Jaudes, and Jake Richter won the meet with a team score of 44, with Jesuit finishing with 71 and JJ Pearce with 75. The team finished with a season best team average time of 16:42 on the hilly course. Outstanding performances were turned in by Wiliam Jaudes, Spencer Haag, and Drew Gregory. Jaudes finished 3rd overall in the individual standings with his first sub-16 minute 5k. All three ran personal best times and finished on the 1st team All-District team. All three are Golden Spike runners of the week. Earning 2nd team All-District honors were Jackson Dean, Luke Finch, and Jake Richter.

The junior varsity also finished with a district championship with a team score of 25, and an outstanding team average time of 18:01. 5 runners finished in the top 10, and 12 runners finished with personal best times. Mark Philbin led the junior varsity team finishing 2nd overall and earning a silver medal. Philbin is the JV runner of the week.

The Running Scots will compete in the Region I-6A Championship Meet at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock on Monday, October 24th. Go Scots!!
