The Running Scots raced well at the Plano ISD XC Invitational on Saturday at Russell Creek Park. The varsity team of Jackson Dean, Luke Finch, Drew Gregory, William Jaudes, Kalder Korte, Tommy Kerr, Mark Philbin, Jake Richter, Luke Smith, and Frankie Stewart finished an outstanding 5th in the team standings with a combined average time of 17:25.10. The team was led by junior William Jaudes who finished 18th overall with a time of 16:57.1. Jaudes improved on last years' performance at Plano by almost a minute. Sophomore Luke Smith is this week's Golden Spike Runner of the Week after finishing 44th overall and running a personal best time of 17:56.9. His performance was an improvement by over a minute from his best time last season. The junior varsity finished an outstanding 3rd in the team standings and was led by freshman Spencer Haag. Haag finished 5th overall with a time of 18:20.1 and is the JV runner of the week. The Running Scots compete next Saturday at the Waxahachie Woodhouse Invitational at Lakeview Camp.
