The Lady Scots Cross Country Team competed in their last regular season meet on Saturday, October 2nd at the Jesuit XC Classic in Oak Point at the Prestonwood Polo Club. In the 5A/6A Varsity Girls Division, the team placed 2nd with 103 points. Prosper won the meet with 93 points. Junior Sara Cavey led the team with a time of 18:44.0 and placed 9th out of 227 runners. Junior Charlotte Hudson placed 13th with a time of 18:50.9, and senior captain Alli Grace Ott placed 20th with a time of 19:14.5 which was a season best. The other team members were junior Grace Hathaway (19:23.8 – 26th place), sophomore Ashley Goldman (19:58.8 – 47th place), freshmen Elise Neuhoff (20:06.5 – 60th place) and Samantha Meck (20:25.0 – a new personal record – 67th place), and sophomores Gracie Spillman (20:29.2 – a new personal record – 69th place) and Rylie Galanos (21:06.5 – 100th place).

In the 5A/6A JV Division, the team placed 2nd with 57 points. Prosper also won this division with 28 points. There were 329 runners in this division. The Lady Scots had three freshmen team members in the top ten – Mary Katherine Diehl placed 4th (21:09.6 – a new personal record), Reese Preston placed 5th (21:27.2 – a new personal record), and Varsha Ravi placed 6th (21:28.4). The other top four team members were sophomore Katie Taulbee (21:53.2), junior Avery Owens (22:24.5 – a new season best), senior captain Scarlett Randall (22:32.7 – a new personal record), and senior Ava Murphy (22:44.4).

The next meet for the Lady Scots will be the District 13-5A Championship on Thursday, October 14th at Myers Park in McKinney. The first race starts at 8:30 a.m.
