The Lady Scots Cross Country Team competed very well at the Greenhill Six Mile Relay on Saturday, August 28th at Norbuck Park. In the 6A/5A Varsity Girls Division, there were 22 teams, and the Lady Scots placed 1st and 8th. The relay members for the 1st place team were juniors Charlotte Hudson and Sara Cavey, senior captain Alli Grace Ott, and freshman Ellie Preston. The relay time was 36:22. The 8th place relay members were freshman Elise Neuhoff, sophomore Ashley Goldman, junior Grace Hathaway, and freshman Varsha Ravi. The relay time was 38:44.

In the Junior Varsity “A” Girls Division, there were 25 teams. HP had four teams compete in this division. The top two HP teams placed 2nd and 4th. The 2nd place relay members were sophomore Rylie Galanos, freshman Samantha Meck, sophomore Katie Taulbee, and freshman Mary Katherine Diehl. The 4th place relay members were freshman Reese Preston, seniors Ava Murphy and Lily Baumgartner, and freshman Natalie Miller. The other two teams placed 7th and 12th.

In the Junior Varsity “B” Girls Division, there were 16 teams. HP had three teams compete in this division. The top HP team placed 2nd and the relay members were junior Windsor Rhodes, sophomore Elena Altschuler, junior Shelby Burke, and freshman Lily Hart. The other two teams placed 5th and 7th.

The next meet for the Lady Scots will be the Marcus Coach T Invitational at North Lakes Park in Denton on Saturday, September 4th. The first race begins at 7:00 a.m.
