The Running Scots competed well at the Southlake Carroll XC Invitational on Saturday morning at Bob Jones Park. In the Varsity Elite division – Sam Brady, Jackson Dean, Mark Philbin, and Jeffrey Tubbs-Jimenez all posted personal best times. The team was led by an outstanding performance from Tubbs-Jimenez, who is the Golden Spike Runner of the Week, with a time of 16:40. In the JV Elite division, the team finished 6th overall, and tied for 1st among 5A teams, in a competitive field. The team was led by Jake Richter, who finished 7th overall. In the JV Open division, the team finished 12th overall, and was led by Nathan Liu. The Running Scots compete next Saturday at the Marcus Coach T Invitational at North Lakes Park in Denton. Race time is 7:30 AM. Go Scots!!
