The Running Scots competed well in the Waxahachie Woodhouse Invitational on Saturday at Lakeview Camp. The team improved on last week’s solid performance in Plano, with 20 runners finishing with personal best times. The Varsity team was composed of Senior Captains Sam Brady and Charlie Campbell, along with Jackson Dean, Luke Finch, Hunter Hegi, William Jaudes, Tommy Kerr, Mark Philbin, Jake Richter, and Jeffrey Tubbs-Jimenez finished 8th overall. The team was led by Sophomore William Jaudes who turned in an outstanding performance finishing 28th overall, with a personal best time of 16:58.3. Jaudes is this week’s Golden Spike Runner of the Week. Hegi, Tubbs-Jimenez, Dean, and Finch all rounded out the top five with personal best times. The Junior Varsity finished 3rd overall, and was led by Juniors Drew Gregory and Kalder Korte, and Freshman Luke Smith, who all finished in the top 12 in the individual standings. The Running Scots compete this Saturday in the Southlake Carroll XC Invitational at Bob Jones Park. Race time is 7:30 AM. Go Scots!!
