The Running Scots competed well against an impressive field of teams at the Plano ISD XC Invitational on Saturday at Russell Creek Park. The varsity team of Charlie Campbell, Jackson Dean, Hunter Hegi, William Jaudes, Kalder Korte, Mark Philbin, Jake Richter and Jeffrey Tubbs-Jimenez finished 7th overall, and second among 5A teams. The team was led by Tubbs-Jimenez, Hunter Hegi and Mark Philbin who finished 34th, 36th, and 37th respectively. Tubbs-Jimenez is the Golden Spike runner of the week with his outstanding performance. The top 5 runners finished only 31 seconds apart. The JV team finished an impressive 3rd overall, and was the top 5A team in the field. Outstanding performances were turned in by Tommy Kerr and Sam Brady, who finished 8th and 9th overall respectively. The Running Scots will compete next Saturday at the Waxahachie Woodhouse Invitational at Lakeview Camp in Waxahachie, TX. Go Scots!!
