Congratulations to the Lady Scots Gymnastics team for winning their 8th straight District title. The team, led by Freshmen Ana Simpson and Lily Ford, qualified to Regional Championships to be held at Rockwall High School on April 13 and 14.

District Championships was a 2-day competition with the Lady Scots competing in compulsories on day 1 and optionals on day 2. The combined totals from each day determined the final placements.

Freshman Ana Simpson was the top finisher in the All-Around placing 2nd. Ana was the District Vault Champion, 4th on Bars, 2nd on Beam, and 3rd on Floor. Her highest score in Compulsory was 9.85 on Vault, and her highest score in Optionals was 9.3 which she scored on Vault and Floor.

Freshman Lily Ford was 3rd All-Around. Lily placed 5th on Vault, 2nd on Bars, was the District Beam Champion, and placed 4th on Floor. Her highest score in Compulsory was 9.5 on Vault, and her highest score in Optionals was 9.45 on Floor.

Junior Captain Kennedy Downing placed 4th All-Around. Kennedy placed 2nd on Vault, 3rd on Bars, 4th on Beam, and 2nd on Floor. Her highest score in Compulsory was 9.65 on Floor, and her highest score in Optionals was 9.35 on Floor.

Junior Abby Sabatini placed 6th All-Around. Abby placed 3rd on Vault, 6th on Bars, 6th on Beam, and 6th on Floor. Her highest score in Compulsory was 9.8 on Vault, and her highest score in Optionals was 8.85 on Floor.

Senior Emily Conaty placed 7th on Vault and 7th on Beam. Her highest score of the meet was 9.0 on Compulsory Vault.

Junior Riley Rieman placed 8th on Floor.
Freshman McKinley Meece on 4 events. Her highest score of the meet was 8.7 on Compulsory Vault.
Freshman Riley Neumann competed on 2 events and scored her highest score on Compulsory Floor.
Senior Captain Aubrey Stevens competed on Compulsory Floor.
Senior Carly Hart competed on Optional Vault.
