Gymnasts District Champions 7 Meets, 6 Wins!

Lakeview came within five tenths of a point when HP pulled away on Horizontal Bar and Parallel Bars today to secure the Win and the District Title. 145.5 to Lakeview’s 141.9 and Irving HS, Irving Nimitz and Irving MacArthur well below 100.
It was a total team effort over two full days of competition highlighted by several personal bests including:

Clayton Staunton winning every event.
Lace Lorio 2nd highest optional score on RINGS and combined 4th place.
John Sartain (Freshman!) 4th All Around, tied 6th on Pommel horse
Adam Harper 3rd on Vault with a handspring full twist
Tristan Brown Placed on all his events: Floor 5th, Vault 3rd, Parallel Bars 3rd, PB 9.0/8.2
Alexander Miller 4th Horizontal Bar and 6th on Pommel Horse.

The gymnasts are ranked 8th in the State and have only one loss this year as they head into Regionals on April 13 and 14 at Rockwall.
