LADY SCOTS GYMNASTICS COMPETE IN INTERSQUAD MEET

Lady Scots Gymnastics compete in Intersquad Meet

On Monday, November 23, the Lady Scots Gymnastics team competed in an inter-squad meet in the Hegi Family Gymnastics Training Center. The 13 participating gymnasts were divided into the Blue Team and the Gold Team. Ultimately, the Blue team outscored the Gold team 109.7 to 101.7. and won the meet.

The Blue Team was led by Junior Captain Linda Tran and Freshman Ana Simpson. Linda placed 1st on Vault, 2nd on Bars, 2nd on Beam, 1st on Floor and 1st All-Around. Her highest score of the meet was 9.4 which she scored on Vault and Floor. Linda scored 9+ on all events.

Freshman Ana Simpson placed 2nd on Vault, 1st on Bars, 2nd on Beam, 1st on Floor and tied for 1st All-Around. Her highest score of the meet was 9.4 on Bars and Floor. Ana scored 9+ on all events.

Senior Megan Mulcahy placed 4th on Bars, 5th on Floor, and 4th All-Around. Her highest score of the meet was 8.9 on Floor.

Junior MaryKate Sweary placed 4th on Beam, 4th on Floor, 5th on Vault, 5th on Bars, and 5th All-Around. Her highest score of the meet was 9.0 on Beam and Floor.

Freshman McKinley Meece competed in the All-Around and placed 5th on Vault. Her highest score of the meet was 8.6 on Floor.

Junior Riley Rieman competed on three events. Her highest score of the meet was 8.3 on Vault.

Sophomore Sarah Barband competed on three events. Her highest score of the meet was 8.2 on Vault.

The Gold Team was led by Junior Captain Kennedy Downing. Kennedy placed 1st on Beam, 1st on Floor, 3rd on Bars, 4th on Vault, and 3rd All-Around. Her highest score of the meet was 9.4 on Beam and Floor.

Junior Abby Sabatini placed 3rd on Vault and 6th All-Around. Her highest score of the meet was 9.1 on Vault.

Senior Carly Hart competed in the All-Around and placed 5th on Vault. Her highest score of the meet was 8.6 on Vault and Floor.
Sophomore Carly Steves competed in the All-Around and received her highest score of the meet on Floor.

Senior Emily Conaty competed on three events and placed 4th on Beam. Her highest score of the meet was 9.0 on Beam.

Senior Captain Aubrey Stevens competed on three events and scored her highest score on Floor.

As a team, the Lady Scots scored an impressive 111.1 as a team. The first competition against Rockwall High School is scheduled for Thursday, December 3, at Rockwall High School.
