The Running Scots competed at the Lovejoy XC Fall Festival on Saturday @ Myers Park in McKinney. The Varsity team of Ethan Moss, Hunter Hegi, Joseph Linck, William Jaudes, Charlie Campbell, Jake Richter, Mark Philbin, Sam Brady, Ryan Beck, and Tommy Kerr finished 6th overall. The team was led by senior Captain Ethan Moss who finished 18th overall with a season best 16:44, and is this weeks’ Golden Spike award recipient. An outstanding performance was also turned in by freshmen runners William Jaudes and Ryan Beck who both posted personal best times. The Junior Varsity finished 3rd in the team standings and were led by juniors Dylan Benak and Michael Stewart, and freshman Jackson Dean who all finished in the top 20. Benak and Dean both turned in personal best times. The Running Scots return to Myers Park in McKinney on Thursday, October 29th to compete for the District 13-5A Championship. Go Scots!!
