Running Scots compete @ Run of the Panther Invitational

The Running Scots completed another great week of cross country racing on Friday and Saturday. The varsity team of Ethan Moss, Joseph Linck, Hunter Hegi, Ruihan Zhu, William Jaudes, Mark Philbin, Jake Richter, Sam Brady, Dylan Benak, and Kalder Korte finished an outstanding 3rd place overall in the team standings at the Run of the Panther Invitational in Keller on Friday. The Running Scots were led by three runners, senior Captain Ethan Moss, senior Joseph Linck, and sophomore Hunter Hegi who all finished in the top 10 in the individual standings. This weeks’ Golden Spike award goes to Joseph Linck who ran a season best 17:32 and finished 9th in the individual standings. The JV1 team finished first in the team standings and were led by junior Charlie Campbell, sophomore Tommie Kerr, and freshmen Ryan Beck and Jackson Dean, who all finished in the top 7 in the individual standings. The JV2 team won the Camp Rorie meet in Mesquite on Friday with 7 runners finishing in the top 10 and were led by Kai Jejurikar who finished 1st overall. The Running Scots will compete this Saturday at the Lovejoy Fall Festival at Myers Park in McKinney. Go Scots!!
