The Lady Scots State Playoff run came to an end last night after a hard fought battle against last year's Regional runner up, Frisco Lone Star. The Scots defense gave Lone Star fits throughout the night, but early missed opportunities offensively by the Scots gave Lone Star a 2 point lead after the 1st quarter. The Lady Scots continued to battle and although they struggled offensively they went into half, down by only 4 points - 17-13. Lone Star went on a small run in the 3rd and outscored the Lady Scots by 4 points to end the quarter 25-17. Lone Star came out in the 4th running a stall in order to knock off time, mandating the Lady Scots to foul in order to stop time and regain the ball. Lone Star shot 22 free throws in the 4th, missing only 3 and hitting only 1 FG, but the Lady Scots would not go away as they went on a scoring run as well, grabbing 23 points!! In the end this would not be enough for the Lady Sots, and the final buzzer would sound with a final score of 46-40.
They end their season, Scot Classic Champions, undefeated District Champs, Bi-District Champs and Area Finalists with a record of 23-9.
