The Highland Park Scots tennis team defeated San Antonio Alamo Heights 10-1 to capture the 2019 UIL 5A team tennis state championship. It is HP's 20th time to win the state title, its fourth in a row and its 32nd consecutive trip to the state tournament. The Scots defeated Georgetown High School 12-2 in the semifinal round earlier in the day to advance to the state finals.
"I am so proud of all the hard work all of these kids put in this year," Head Coach Dan Holden said. "This is truly a well-deserved championship."
Congratulations, Scots!
