The UIL Class 5A State Track/Field Meet was held on Friday, May 11th at Mike Myers Stadium in Austin. The Lady Scots had a great day! Junior Maddy Stephens placed 2nd in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:13.00. This was a new personal record. Freshman Ella Patterson placed 6th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 58.78. Because both ladies placed in the top six, Highland Park ended up with 9 points and placed 19th out of 52 teams.

This was the first time for both athletes to compete at the State Track/Field Meet and they did an outstanding job! We are all so proud of them!!
