On Friday, May 15th, freshman Adelaide Wortman competed in the 800 M Run at the UIL Class 5A Track & Field State Championships. She won the State Championship in a personal record of 2:11.25. Adelaide is the first Lady Scot to win the 800 M Run in school history. Congratulations Adelaide – we are so proud of you!

Because Adelaide won the event, Highland Park placed 18th out of the 50 teams who scored points at the meet. She represented Highland Park ISD with pride on Friday night!

The Lady Scots Track & Field Team had a great season, and the coaches are so proud of everyone! A big thank you to the 35 seniors which includes the six captains – Cate Beecherl, Maddie Heckler, Lainey Laczkowski, Gracelyn Nix, Izzy Ogle, and Bess Prather.
