HP Gymnastics Invitational was a HUGE success!!!

We hosted some of the top teams in the state on both girls and boys side, and came out with some great results:

GIRLS:
The Lady Scots needed 9.45 scoring average going into the last event to surpass one of the top ranked Texas teams: Rockwall. Soh, they just went ahead and averaged 9.53 and made it happen! It was an incredible team effort!

Top 3 teams: HP 108.15, Rockwall 107.9, Boswell 106.4

Freshman Standout Audrey Reddick finished 1st on Vault and Floor, 2nd Uneven Bars, 10th Balance Beam, and 2nd All-Around.

Junior Co-Captain Eva Madden always steady and leading her crew, finished 1st on Balance Beam and All-Around, 5th on Vault, 4th Uneven Bars, and 2nd on Floor.

Sophomore Izzy Jackson contributed BIG with individual finishes of 9th Vault, 6th Beam, and 10th Al-Around.

Junior Co-Captain Lauren Sweary finished 8th on floor.

The Lady Scots are really excited for the momentum created at their home meet, 1 more meet before Districts!

BOYS:
The HP Invite was one of the best ever.
Despite having several key gymnasts out with injuries, we still pulled off a 3rd-place trophy, finishing behind the two best teams in the state — Rockwall (#1) and Saginaw (#2). We held off Rockwall Heath by just three-tenths of a point to earn a spot on the podium.
Our JV Boys also came ready to compete and finished 2nd, again only behind Saginaw.
JV Highlights
Joseph Swaldi led the way, placing 3rd All-Around, 2nd on Rings, and top 10 on every event.
Sebastian Metcalf had strong performances as well, finishing 4th on Horizontal Bar and 5th on Pommel Horse.
Varsity Highlights
Henrik Shalley was our top Varsity finisher with a 2nd place on Floor, 6th All-Around, and 9th on Pommel Horse.
We also had two additional top-ten finishes:
Joaquin Doman – 10th on Horizontal Bar
Jayden Kingcade – 10th on Rings
An outstanding meet for our program and a great showing from both JV and Varsity despite the adversity.
