The Scots and Lady Scots Gymnastics Teams competed well at the Saginaw Tri-Meet on Thursday, February 5th.
In the boys division, number 1 in the state Saginaw beat our boys, but with impeccable execution, sophomore Spencer Wright was Highland Park's number one All Arounder. Spencer had a personal best on floor with a 9.3 and a 45.1 all around.
The Scots also had a personal best from Lyneric Cook with his beautiful handspring front flip on vault and a 9.3 4th on Floor.
Henrik Shalley was our highest finisher against number 1 in the State Saginaw, with a 9.4 on Floor 3rd place.
Joaquin Doman was HP’s highest place on Horizontal Bar 6th.
While Pace Johnsen had a Personal Best on Rings with an 8.1.
Our next meet is the HP Invite on February 17th.
In the girls division, captain Eva Madden lead the way for the Lady Scots beating Saginaw 104.85-100.85.
Eva finished 1st All Around, 2nd Vault, 2nd Uneven Bars, 1st Balance Beam, and 1st on Floor.
Freshman Audrey Reddick stepped up big in her first HP Optional Meet finished 2nd All Around, 1st Uneven Bars, 2nd Balance Beam, and 2nd on Floor.
Captain Lauren Sweary finished 5th All Around, 3rd Vault, and 4th on Uneven Bars.
Izzy Jackson finished 5th on Vault.
Also representing the Lady Scots: Elliot Bergin, Suri Sakhai, Olivia Neilson, Lily Johnson, and McCoy Brown.
