Congratulations to Spencer Haag and the Running Scots for an outstanding performance at the UIL State 5A XC Championship at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock on Friday.

Haag finished 11th overall in a field of 152 runners. His first mile split of 4:50.6 was the best of the season and helped propel him to a great finish. He finished with a time of 15:46.80 which was a program record for the Running Scots at the UIL State meet. The previous record of 16:01.80 was held by Patrick Todd for the Running Scots at the State meet in 2006.

Haag earned CCCAT All-State honors having finished in the top 15 runners. In addition, he closes out his senior season having also earned 1st team All-Region and 1st team All-District honors.
