The Running Scots competed well at the Granbury "Race for the Loot" Invitational on Friday at the Granbury Disc Golf Course.

The Varsity finished 3rd in the team standings in a very close race in the 5A-6A Division. The team was led by Senior Captain Akash Shah who finished 4th overall with a personal best time of 16:52.18. Seniors Luke Johnson, Luke Hall, and Sophomore Cole Davis all finished in the top 20. Shah, Johnson, Krantz, Walsh, Walters, and Soukup all finished with personal best times.

The Junior Varsity also finished 3rd and were led by Senior Captain Jacob Baumgartner who finished 6th overall. Sophomore Devin Doolabh also finished 10th overall. Doolabh, Finger, and Hubbs all finished with personal best times.

Runners of the week for Varsity are Akash Shah, Luke Johnson, Ranger Walsh, and Max Walters. Junior Varsity runners of the week are Jacob Baumgartner and Deven Doolabh.

The team will compete in the District 12-5A Championship Meet on Thursday, October 9th at Myers Park in McKinney. Race-time is 9:30 am.
