The Lady Scots Cross Country Team competed very well at the 38th Greenhill Six Mile Relay on Saturday, August 26th at Norbuck Park.

In the 6A/5A Varsity Girls Division, there were 18 teams, and the Lady Scots placed 2nd and 5th. The relay members for the 2nd place team were sophomore Maddie Heckler, senior Kayla Dickerson, freshman Ryan Sontag, and junior Ellie Preston. The relay time was 36:50.99 – the 11th fastest relay time in the history of the Lady Scots. The 5th place relay members were junior Samantha Meck, freshman Claire Deeken, sophomore Campbell Dean, and senior Gracie Spillman. The relay time was 39:21.71.

In the Junior Varsity “A” Girls Division, there were 27 teams. HP had two teams compete in this division. The teams placed 1st and 4th. The 1st place relay members were sophomore Pate Presley, juniors Varsha Ravi and Tessa Nurre, and senior captain Ashley Goldman. The 4thplace team consisted of senior captain Rylie Galanos, freshman Annie Cooper, sophomore Hayden Gray, and freshman Campbell Ragan.

In the Junior Varsity “B” Girls Division, there were 30 teams. HP had eight teams compete in this division. The top HP team placed 4th. The relay members were freshman Lucy Burns, sophomore Julia Berlin, and juniors Mary Katherine Diehl and Price Rhodes.

The next meet for the Lady Scots will be the Marcus Coach T Invitational at North Lakes Park in Denton on Saturday, September 2nd. The first race begins at 6:45 a.m.
