The Lady Scots Cross Country Team competed at the Lovejoy Highland Park Covid Dual JV Meet on Saturday, September 12th. The team placed 1st with a perfect score of 15 points in the two mile race.

Sophomore Sara Cavey won the race with a time of 11:56.66. Sophomore Grace Hathaway placed 2nd (12:59.54), senior Elle Thompson placed 3rd (13:00.59) and set a new two mile personal record. Freshman Carolyn Flowers placed 4th (13:01.73), freshman Rylie Galanos placed 5th (13:02.84), freshman Ashley Goldman placed 6th, and senior Adelaide Aiken placed 7th (13:16.77).

The team set 15 new two mile personal records: senior Elle Thompson (13:00.59), sophomore Julia Yates (14:28.39), juniors Lily Baumgartner (14:33.75) and Katelyn Turco (14:42.34), sophomore Windsor Rhodes (14:48.65), senior Flora Solymosi (15:02.94), sophomore Chloe Haag (15:11.15), juniors Zoe Wilcox (15:22.54), Ellie Jones (15:52.66), Isabella Reynolds (15:58.80), and Ava Haberer (16:02.35), and sophomore Brantley Diehl (17:20.02).

The next meet for the Lady Scots will be the Mesquite ISD JV Meet 1 on Friday, September 18th. The race begins at 8:00 a.m. at Camp Rorie in Mesquite. The Lady Scots will also be competing in the Jaguar Two Mile Invitational on Saturday at Shadow Ridge Middle School in Flower Mound. The first race starts at 7:30 a.m.
