The Lady Scots Gymnastics Team won their first optional meet of the season on Thursday.

Sophomore Kennedy Downing won the Beam and Floor titles. She placed 3rd on Vault, 3rd on Bars, and 2nd All-Around. Her highest score of the meet was 8.9 on Floor.

Sophomore Linda Tran placed 2nd on Bars, 2nd on Floor, 3rd on Beam, 4th on Vault, and tied for 2nd All-Around with her teammate Kennedy. Her highest score of the meet was 8.6 on Bars.

Junior Carly Hart placed 2nd on Vault, 4th on Floor, 5th on Bars, and 4th All-Around. Her highest score of the meet was 8.7 on Vault.

Sophomore Abby Sabatini placed 4th on Beam, 5th on Vault, 5th on Floor, 6th on Bars, and tied for 4th All-Around with her teammate Carly. Her highest score of the meet was 8.1 on Beam.

Junior Megan Mulcahy placed 4th on Bars and 5th on Beam. Her highest score of the meet was Beam.

Junior Emily Conaty placed 6th on Vault and 6th on Floor. Her highest score of the meet was Vault.

Sophomore MaryKate Sweary placed 6th on Beam. MaryKate also competed on Bars.

Junior Captain Aubrey Stevens competed on Vault.

The Player of the Week was Junior Carly Hart. Carly competed a new skill on all 4 events at this meet and was the highest placing vaulter for HP Lady Scots. Awesome job Carly!

The next meet scheduled for the Lady Scots will be at Saginaw High School on Thursday, January 23.
