The Scots varsity tennis team completed another sweep, defeating Frisco Lebanon Trail 10-0 in the UIL 5A Region II Championship Oct. 25 at the Seay Tennis Center. HP's playoff run has been perfect, not dropping a match through district, area and regionals with an impressive 50-0 record beating Dallas Samuell, Frisco Independence, Frisco Centennial, Texarkana Texas High and Lebanon Trail.

HP will advance to compete in the 5A State Tennis Championship Tournament Oct. 30-31 at Texas A&M in College Station. It will be the Scots' 32nd straight appearance at state, and they will be playing for their fourth consecutive title and a state-record 20th. Semifinal matches are scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, and finals are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Thursday. The bracket will be posted here when it becomes available.

The boys doubles teams of Rhett Bailey and Cole Burnam, McKay Harman and Skyler Carter and Peyton Dooley and Ray Saalfield have posted convincing wins each match. The girls teams of Katherine Petty and Bridget Stammel, Annika Juergens and Lizanne Boyer, Jourdan Krueger and Isabella McElfresh, Nell Covington and Cambelle Henderson, Ashley Newton and Hayden Bethea have contributed impressive victories keeping the record perfect. Harold Glasscock and Lucy Tilden playing mixed doubles are a dominating duo, and the Scots credit their success to the loyal support of the entire team.
