Congratulations to the Lady Scots Cross Country Team as the team placed 2nd at the Region II-5A Championship on Monday, October 22nd. The top four teams and top 10 individuals not on one of these teams qualify for the State Meet.

There were 24 teams competing for the Region II-5A Championship and 181 runners. Frisco Wakeland won the meet with 51 points. The Lady Scots scored 91 points and was led by sophomore Sophia Oliai who placed 6th with a time of 18:28.29 (a new Regional Meet personal record). Sophomore Cameron Fawcett placed 18th with a time of 19:13.40 (a new Regional Meet personal record), followed by senior captain Maddy Stephens who placed 20th with a time of 19:15.15 (a new Regional Meet personal record). The other team members were sophomore Isabel Blaylock (19:15.52 – a new personal record), junior Phoebe Spackman (19:31.02 – a new personal record), freshman Alli Grace Ott (19:44.28), and junior Gracyn Applegate (20:00.75 - a new personal record).

The next race for the Lady Scots will be the UIL State Meet on Saturday, November 3rd at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock. The race begins at 2:30 p.m.
