The Lady Scots soccer team continued winning with two wins against West Mesquite and Mesquite Poteet last week. The Lady Scots beat West Mesquite 8-0 with goals from freshman Maya Davison, sophomores Presley Echols and Ryan Bozman, senior captains Rachel Wasserman(3) and Sarah O’Neal(2). The team had a quick turn around and played Mesquite Poteet the next day and came away with a 5-0 win. Goals were scored by senior Sierra Jones, senior captain Rachel Wasserman(2) and sophomore Presley Echols. Freshman Keller Matise added a PK goal. Senior goalkeepers Ginny Hoy and KK Callaghan shared shut-outs in both games.

This is a big week for the Lady Scots. On Tuesday they travel to Forney High School; Thursday, the team will be at Chips Hamburger for a Meet The Scots fundraiser for the Ashford Rise School of Dallas. Come out and meet the team at 5:30pm and mention the fundraiser and Chip’s will give a portion of their proceeds to the Ashford Rise School. On Friday the team will have a check presentation ceremony prior to their home game agains Royse City. Game time is 7:15 so come early to see how much the girls have raised for their charity.
